GvG is only active on hours where Heroes Ascent is quite active too.. Let's face it, yesterday on euro evening i was not getting any opponent on 1160 rating ( i got 2 in about an hour), so i decided to pug in a random pve guild in gtob, which was 900 rating.. Upon 14 matchs, only 2 did not resign without playing... I can't consider that is activity ...
What the average player today wants is playing quickly and not wasting half his free time to form and then to find an opponent, thus they go in RA.. While the common HA'ers today are people who play 8 hours/day, most players work and thus will dedicate about an hour and they won't really want to waste that hour standing in an empty district... When i'm playing w3, starcraft1, assassins creed or even star wars battlefront 1, i'm getting matchs in no time..
Side note: regarding the number of complaints about how inactive is PvP,which aren't all even coming from me, maybe they should consider doing something...

Do they still have 15+ forfeit guilds joining every AT?

+ FA is fairly active around the clock. JQ was bot-ridden last I checked. AB is dead except double weekends and some quest days.

I think WvW is hot-joinable. Log in and jump straight into the nearest clusterfck, etc.

Indeed, due to the number of forfeit guilds, i think players( 8 needed, hope you don't get any leave) will appreciate having 4 matchs at best in 2 hours and half, usually against the same guilds....
Plus, you know those 2 common things happening quite often :
- you lose first match( whatever opponent), someone gets mad, other flames and you disband for today
- you get a monk disconnecting during the match, he doesn't come back, other one says he got to go eat, and all leave..
On the point, i think GvG At's are taking way too long to be enough entertaining , fun and trying to get a lot of players( an HB AT took around 1 h45 for a full tournament and wait times were really short // Snowball At's were quite similar, plus there were playoffs and only macros were a problem, everyone was on same level..)

if you got people raging while gvging i don't think you will get far anyways.
you can also search in between games when you are getting forfeits.

There's usually no opponents( else those would have played the AT eh?) and it's sometimes about facing guilds from the tournament ( and asking to get antibuilded)..
Not really a fun solution, and it doesn't change the fact that it will be really long..
Guild Wars is one of the rare game( among many i'm playing though) that is pointless to play today if you don't have a lot of time or get bored quite fast..Besides, there's no way to make the diference between someone who plays actively PvP and not( HoM principaly, some guy from [rawr] is basically on the same level than the average player)... All multi player games( not FPS only) got a system giving you a personal ranking at the end of the game whether you're alone or in team, and that is what lacks a lot in GW..

JQ is active with real peeps during the day but the chances of getting bots in your team is quite high. Its the night time that's the worst with bots though because of the lack of human players.

Yes, there is opponents and what do you mean else those would have played the AT? not everyone plays ATs and other teams might get forfeits or early finishers aswell.
What has build wars got anything to do with ATs, build wars has always been part of the game if you didn't notice.
So you are complaining about not getting matches in GVG yet you bitch about AT's when clearly there is atleast half a dozen real oppenents that you can face in ATA and ATC.

1- From what i have had in the past year, upon i don't know how many A and B At's, i rarely saw anything else than resigners or other AT guilds during forfeits.. If a guild managed to find 8 players they will play the AT, it would make no sense otherwise, they would for sure know there won't be any opponent( apart of resigners )
2- Buildwars on a guild that isn't on B gets easier if you face that team in ladder right before facing it in AT... Like someone told me last time, let's assume [XxX] which is a smurf of top20 guild does an AT to not get build wars by surprise.. So there are 2 solutions :
- they don't enter ladder to not risk anything( and point 1 gets valid)
- they do enter, other team see who they are and antibuild in AT( and point 2 gets valid)
3- Half a dozen opponents i can face in ATA and ATC upon 5 rounds.. I will let you think on what you said, i guess you typed it too fast..
Besides, i'm not complaining about GvG in general.. OP asked what is active besides RA.. He probably refers to " which place can i go and get a match in no time".. Clearly, that's not the case of GvG..( although GvG will probably go quicker than HA/Codex/AB..)
